1. Agreement

By installing or using Qasid (the “app”) you agree to these terms. The app is provided by Muhammad Idrees, trading as FTMOI. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What Qasid is

Qasid is an email client that connects to your existing Google account and runs entirely on your device. It is not an email provider. It does not host, forward or store your mail on our infrastructure — we have none. Your relationship with Google, and Google’s own terms, continue to govern your mailbox.

3. Beta status

Qasid is in closed testing. Features may change, break or be removed. Access to the beta is granted at our discretion and may be withdrawn. Nothing on this site is a promise that a particular feature will ship, or ship by a particular date.

4. Your account and your responsibilities

• You need a Google account and the right to use it.
• You are responsible for what you do with your mail through the app.
• Do not use the app to break the law, to send unsolicited bulk mail, or to attempt to interfere with Google’s services.
• Do not decompile or redistribute the app, or attempt to use its Google credentials outside it.

5. Price

The app is currently free and contains no purchases, subscriptions or advertising. If that changes, existing testers will be told before it does — not after.

6. Your data

Handled as described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. In summary: it stays on your device, and we have no access to it.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its name, its icon and its design are ours. Your email content is yours, and nothing here gives us any claim over it.

8. No warranty

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Because Qasid stores mail only locally and acts on your Gmail account through Google’s own API, your mail remains recoverable from Google independently of this app.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Ending it

You can stop at any time: disconnect your account in the app, which deletes the local database, then uninstall. You can revoke the app’s access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. We may end your access to the beta at any time.

11. Changes

These terms may change as the app leaves beta. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date at the top.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
